Booking a domestic flight in Nepal is an ordeal in itself. Ticket pricing is complicated, many tickets are non refundable and non cancellable, and online ticketing is rarely available. Domestic airlines issue different types of tickets, and cancellation policies vary by the kind of ticket you have bought. If you contact us, we can advise you of cancellation possibilities.
For flights that can be cancelled, there will be a 35% cancellation fee to cover administrative costs. Refunds are usually made within 5 business days.
If the airline cancels the flight, we will work with you to book you another flight. If you would rather cancel it altogether, there will be a 15% cancellation charge.
If you want to change the dates for your flight. You would have to cover any fare difference, and a USD 20 service charge to change the date of your flight.
Even if you have a ticket that can be cancelled, it will not be possible to cancel your flight on the day of the flight. Last minute cancellations and no shows are ineligible for refunds.
Credit cards are rarely accepted at Nepal’s domestic airports, and you could have a hard time finding a working ATM. Please carry cash for your travel expenses. Airport tax is Rs 200, payable in Nepali rupees, please carry convertible currency.

Almost all domestic flights in Nepal are under an hour long so meal service is very basic. You will be served cold drinks and some snacks, but nothing substantial. Make sure to grab your meals before heading out to the airport.
Domestic flights are subject to a Rs. 200 airport tax, not included in the price of your ticket. You will be expected to pay this tax at the airport. It is a good idea to carry this in exact change.
