Pokhara - Chitwan - Pokhara flights from fall

Effective September 1 through April 30, Yeti airlines will be operating a weekly flight between Pokhara and Bharatpur (Chitwan).  Flights will be available every Friday, at 11:30 AM and it will be operated on a Dornier / Twin Otter aircraft.

Yeti Airlines, Buddha Air, Simrik Airlines, Sita Air and Tara Air have cancelled all flights for the day, following an advisory by the Election Commission.  Flights will resume on Wednesday, November 20.

The Phaplu Airport in Solokhumbu is still under construction.   Tara Airlines, the sole carrier for the airport is accepting bookings, but will not issue the tickets until it is certain the airport will open. 

Overflying Everest again

On the 80th anniversary of the first-ever flight over Mt Everest by four Scottish pilots, the grandson of one of them took a commemorative flight to the world's highest mountain in a Yeti Airlines Jetstream 41 on Wednesday.

Namaste Nepalese Air (NNA) has received the go ahead from Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to operate flights on different domestic routes.

CAAN awarded Air Operator´s Certificate (AOC) to the carrier after completing its due technical evaluation, operating condition and business plan, among others. 

All passengers are required to carry proper identification.  Nepali citizens can carry citizen certificate, driving licenses, or another form of ID, such as an employee ID.  Students can show their college IDs.
