Tumlingtar Airport

The airport at Tumlingtar in the eastern hills of Nepal is also a major hub for locals in this area, as well as the first stop for trekkers going into the Makalu region. Set on a plateau above the Arun and Sabha rivers, the area’s hot and humid weather is a reminder of the Terai. The airport serves Kathmandu and Biratnagar.
